On Monday, the court heard communication data and evidence recovered from phones recorded Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a family holiday in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported missing child cases and continues to be unsolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

Another phone message, presented in court, documented Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine had been, but I believe what I believe."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I am she? Then what? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I maintain a life here in Poland, I just want to discover," she added.

The jury was informed that via electronic messages, text messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a bid to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and asserted to have "recollections" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, a data specialist with the police force who collated the information, informed the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I will persist and I plan to establish my claim."

The court learned Mrs Spragg developed a relationship through digital means with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' home in the county in last December.

Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had reached out through messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be taken seriously in the months preceding the trip to the village, Leicestershire, in last December.

The court was told communications between the two accused, in last November, considering attempting to acquire Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her bins or from utensils at a restaurant.

"We have to assert ourselves," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their home, the defendant dispatched a communication which stated: "We're currently sitting outside the McCanns' house with our lights out like detectives. I wanted to accomplish this with Peter Andrew I hadn't anticipated I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
