Kids Suffered a 'Substantial Toll' During Coronavirus Crisis, Johnson States to Inquiry

The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night indicating they are aware of claims of abuse made public in online accounts by a ex-partner of player Rashee Rice and had been in contact with the league office.
The organization did not mention the player specifically in their announcement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.
Allegations Shared on Social Media
Dacoda Nichole Jones, who likewise did not name Rice by name, shared a series of photos on Instagram that seemed to depict signs of physical abuse. Jones did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has kids with the football player, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.
No police reports were on file in the Kansas City suburb where the incident is said to have taken place.
Rice missed the first six games of this NFL campaign following an league-mandated ban for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Texas roadway that left multiple people hurt. He was sentenced a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
On the field, he finished the year with 53 receptions for 571 yards and five TDs as the Chiefs finished with a losing record and missed the playoffs for the first occasion in a ten-year span.
