Barça Ready for Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators can be present under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA to host the next European match versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
