Members of an Italian family of burglars who stole over £1.2m worth of items, including from former Newcastle United striker Isak, have been ordered to pay back just £1 each.
Brothers Valentino and Giacomo Nikolov, their sister Jela and her son Charlie Jovanovic journeyed to the northeastern of England to raid three houses in April 2024.
The group of four were jailed for between six and 10 years in May 2025.
At a criminal assets proceeding at the court, Jela Jovanovic and the Nikolov brothers were ordered to pay back £1 each while Charlie must hand over £1,135.
The court previously heard the group came by boat in the United Kingdom on 27 March 2024 and employed a campervan as their "base of operations", which they parked at Scotch Corner and Durham service stations while utilizing another car to scout out properties and execute thefts.
On March 31 they took more than £1m of goods such as high-end fashion, handbags, jewelry and a CBE medal from a residence on Clayton Road in Jesmond, Newcastle, while the residents were on holiday.
The next evening, the crew broke into a house on a private road in Whitburn, and stole luxury bags, valuables and footwear worth over one hundred thousand pounds.
After scouting out Newcastle United's training ground for 48 hours, they then acted at the home of Swedish player Alexander Isak in Darras Hall, Ponteland on April 4, stealing ten thousand pounds in cash, sixty-eight thousand pounds valued of jewellery and the player's £120,000 luxury car.
